Fighting Inflammation

Not all inflammation is bad.  Inflammation in smaller amounts is good for the body, like when you stub your toe and all those “armies” go out to help the battle and heal you up quickly.

But when inflammation is appening repeatedly, it can affect your mood at the very least. Fatigue can also set in fast when you have an immune system that is chronically over excited.  Issues that raise inflammation include when you have stress, no exercise, eat junk food, or have long-lasting low-inflammation triggers.

Here are a 4 ways to help battle the UNWANTED INFLAMMATION:

1. Eat More Leafy Greens

Whole-food plant-based diets are becoming more known.  It is often called Vegan. This diet mostly vegan can help lower inflammation. Eat more greens!

2. Gut Health

Taking in probiotics, which is the good bacteria that fights infections, can impact and reduce the symptoms of heart inflammation. Daily you should have a good probiotic like yogurt, pickles, dark chocolate, kimchi, or sauerkraut.  I recommend a good quality probiotic to all my clients.  Reach out and we can talk about what that would be for you.

3. Fitness Time

Stretching, yoga, or walking can reduce your stress which lessens inflammation. Doing a low impact workout daily does make a difference.

4. Laugh and Smile

Have fun with friends, have conversations, and have social interaction. Research shows that having good social contact each day can be a powerful anti-inflammatory.
