I Hate Exercising – Part 3 of 5

I Hate Exercising – Part 3 of 5 is all about the myths of “working off” some poor nutritional choices.  Guess what?  I’m going to lay it out there right now.  Calories in VS calories out is bullshit.  There.  Blog over.

Kidding.

Seriously though.  Not all calories are created equal.  Ideally, yes, if we burn off more calories than we consume, we will lose weight.  But what really happens if those calories are made of crap food that does not support our bodies, that whole theory of any long term success goes straight out the window.

Another choice I used to make, which did NOT serve me at all, was overtraining so I could continue to eat crap food.  Basically, I would exercise 2-3 hours a day, kind of like a maniac, in order to eat what I wanted.  It doesn’t have to be this way.  In fact, it shouldn’t be this way.  How sustainable is 2-3 hours a day FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE???  It’s not.  This leads to resentment at some point and more often than not, people quit exercising and begin to loathe it.  I would say I average 30 minutes a day and that’s a great number.  I mean, it’s gotten me some kick ass results, so it must work…providing I am considerate of my nutritional choices.

Don’t ever use exercise as a form of PUNISHMENT for OVEREATING!
